The Patrol Dog Handler Course is an intensive 200-hour training program designed to develop highly skilled handlers in patrol and apprehension work. Conducted in Brawley, California, this course provides comprehensive hands-on instruction in real-world law enforcement and security applications, preparing participants for K9 deployment in high-stakes environments.
 
Course Highlights:
✔ Controlled Apprehension & Bite Work – Train in proper engagement, release commands, and suspect control.
✔ Handler Protection & Officer Safety – Develop tactics for using a patrol dog as a force multiplier in real-world scenarios.
✔ Obedience & Tactical Agility – Enhance control, responsiveness, and agility in high-stress situations.
✔ Building & Area Searches – Learn to systematically clear structures and open areas for suspects.
✔ Environmental & Scenario-Based Training – Expose dogs to varied conditions, surfaces, and tactical challenges.
✔ Dog Included (if available) – Participants without a trained patrol dog will be provided one at no additional cost.
